When I am in Geiranger, I like staying here. The breakfast is savoury and fantastic with warm dishes, local food, breathtaking view, there's an option for each taste. The hotel has amazing and beautiful location good in the a la carte restaurant...

Location is outstanding. Hotel is splendid. The lounge is beautiful. Breakfast very good!
In our opinion the buffet dinner was overpriced.

Luxury hotel, the staff were all friendly efficient and extremely helpful and the location was incredible right next to a waterfall. The room itself was a nice size here with an extra connecting bedroom, a fjord view plus actual balconies
Facilities were excellent, nevertheless Wi-Fi was very spotty.

The surrounding area, i.e., the fjord and the mountains are sensational. It is a must to select a fjord view room. There is plenty of parking and a spacious foyer/bar area. The rooms are adequate but a little tired and outdated. There is an a la carte restaurant which enables the private traveller to get away from the tour groups who eat at the buffet in the barn like room next door.
Being principally attuned to bus tours, the service reflects this, i.e., it is hard to find.

This is what you're really getting
Prepare for an enchanting experience with jaw-dropping fjord views! Our stay was relaxed and enjoyable, thanks to the excellent pools and sauna. The buffet at the restaurant presented good options, though there's room for improvement. Don't miss the sunsets from your room- nice. An lovely visit worth extending beyond two nights!

Location
It felt like a busy budget hotel that caters mainly for organised bus tours. The a-la-carte restaurant could not cater for all guests despite having free tables - the kitchen could not cope, so they would not seat guests.

The view from my room was extraordinary. The outdoor pool is heated, allowing relaxation with fine mountain sights. The dining options were plentiful, and breakfast was particularly good. The spa area was a highlight, with multiple pools and a sauna. Staff provided attentive service.
